Home again

After a fantastic weekend visiting our 2 boys in Derbyshire & Lincolnshire we arrived home last night a little damp around the edges after our fishing exploits in Lecistershire on our way home.

Daniel & Sam are moving to their new home in 3 weeks time. This is an exciting development utilising a beautiful old Asylum. New builds are set amongst the grounds while the old building which is so beautiful is being divided into flats and apartments. The old chapel has been finished and comprises of 2 beautiful large homes.

This section is complete structural and ready for the internal fitting
You can see part of the old building in the foreground with the new builds behind.
Looking towards the old section from Sam & Dans parking area
Clearing the ground ready for the next phase
So beautiful
Completed Chapel. Now two beautiful homes

Lincoln Cathedral can be seen from the site.

This was our fishing spot on the way home in Leicestershire and despite the rain I managed to bag 12 fish

Rycroft Fisheries, Derby

Well what a great start to our few days away here in beautiful Derbyshire visiting my two stepsons, Daniel & Jaymie.
Yesterday we went fishing at Rycroft fishery after spending a visit in the morning to Carp Scene in Somercotes.
My new easy mat for safely in hooking big fish

The weather was great and we had an afternoon of tension & fun with several good catches
My swim set up ready.

I caught 12 fish plus this beauty who led me a merry dance. He weighed in at 8.5 pounds. I still need to reach double figures

Gerry on the other hand caught this amazing fish on light tackle on his pole

And who said ladies can not be glamorous when fishing?

A few days off 😁

22-09-16
Hidy hi Cheesies,
After a manic few weeks we have decided to take some time off.
Fireman Terence has had holidays owing to him from the Firebrigade so he has been off all week. So on Monday we took him fishing for the first time.
He really did well and caught a lot of Carp at Cefn Mably Lakes near Newport

I followed suit and so did Gerry

Tuesday this week we looked after our Grandchildren during the day and then went to work in the evening, giving a talk to a group of ladies in Port Talbot.
Kyle age 5

Theo age 4

Chloe age 8

Yesterday we spent purchasing a new washing machine and microwave as both decided to give up at the same time.
We celebrated our eldest daughters birthday in the evening at Frankie & Bennies in Merthyr.  I was not overly impressed.
Today we left Wales and travelled to Somercotes in Derbyshire to visit Gerrys sons Jaymie & Daniel. So a great get together is to be had with some fishing as well.

Ch ch ch Changes and a BIG WELCOME TO CALLUM

Hello everyone,
Welcome to our new look web site which is hosting my blog for the first time.
Our web designer Terry Davies sadly passed away on 27-01-16 after 11 years battling cancer.

Terry lived life to the full and was an avid paraglider, even doing so when he had his chemo drip in. He could often be seen floating on the thermals high above the Blorenge.

Terry also loved his motorbikes and rode across many counties and abroad as well.

Terry met his wife Gill while he was unwell.  They got married in Newzeland and were blissfully happy in the short time they had together.

Our web page will now be managed by Mr Callum Dash, a young talented lad from Blaenavon.

So welcome Callum to the life of Blaenafon Cheddar.
